We are excited to welcome Kirstin Bennett to Amintro, an organization dedicated to the health and wellness of those who are 50+ through enhancing connections, reducing social isolation and helping older adults make friends, learn and live life! Our online community offers educational opportunities and virtual events, information of interest to seniors and their families, advice on a broad range of topics and more. Kirstin’s role with Amintro will provide the critical foundation for many of the offerings Amintro members have come to expect as she assumes the role of Director Strategic Partnerships. In this capacity, Kirstin will develop ongoing relationships with companies that seek to inspire, empower and shine a light on helping to promote wellness, making lives easier and more enjoyable, and on forging connections between those who are 50+ and those who care about them.
Ms. Bennett brings a wealth of hands-on experience to this newly developed role having worked with both seniors and families in the Home Health Care Industry; in Health and Wellness Services, and as an Aging Well Advocate. From early on, her strong desire to work in an environment that provides engagement in healthy lifestyle choices through knowledge and connection to products and services which make a difference in people’s everyday lives, fuelled her drive to complete both a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology through McGill University. She has since completed post graduation certifications as a Health and Wellness Coach and with the Dementia Solutions Cracking the Code training. Because of her empathy specifically with, and in support of a mature population, she continues to develop her expertise and is currently completing her CPCA, Certified Professional Consultant on Aging designation.
She describes her work and life experiences as giving her the opportunity to form relationships, create connections to offer care and support, and to deliver services to seniors and their families where and when they are needed most. With two teenage children and aging parents and family members of her own, she is personally familiar with some of the struggles seniors and their families experience. Kirstin says enthusiastically: “An opportunity to have a platform like Amintro is so good for anybody 50+ who is either wondering if their parents need assistance or is thinking about their own future and looking for tools, resources and inspiration for themselves to age well.” As part of her mandate in developing Strategic Partnerships, Kirstin is actively seeking out decision makers in communications, digital marketing and anyone looking for new avenues and opportunities to promote brand awareness in the mature adult and senior space.
Mindfulness is an important tool in our collective toolbox, she shared with us, and she brings these values to the table with every business relationship she develops. Kirstin will work together with the Amintro team to collaborate with brands that have social impact and who share both her values and the values of Amintro.
In her spare time, Kirstin offers free Aging Well and Caregiver workshops to community groups, enjoys playing tennis and piano and is the current Board President for a not for profit organization that provides an all-volunteer-based medical and social accompaniment service that help residents in a vulnerable situation who require accompanied-transport.
Based in Montreal, Ms. Bennett is fully bilingual and welcomes enquiries in both official languages! If you’d like to learn more about Amintro’s offerings and/or developing a strategic partnership with us featuring your brand in innovative ways through the Amintro platform, contact Kirstin Bennett today at kbennett@amintro.com or DM her on LinkedIn - she will be happy to connect!
